134303Photo #134303Right turn out of Lifford Lane has poor sightlines, particularly hazardous for cyclists who cannot accelerate quickly.

133971Photo #133971This is a really dangerous junction as cars on Sherlock Street stop to let cars pass across the road from Wrentham Street to Macdonald Street. Cyclists travelling on the cycle lane along Sherlock St away from town can’t always see this and are in danger from cars crossing the cycle lane. I have seen a cyclist knocked off here. Could make Macdonald Street no entry from Sherlock St? Or exit from Wrentham St left or right only, not straight on. This is important as it is a National Cycle route cycle lane so cyclists rightly think they have right of way.Cycleway:

133713Photo #133713Change priority from Tenbury / Tenbury to All Saints heading south / Tenbury heading west plus adjust kerb lines, road markings and appropriate signage. Does away with closing the Alcester Rd / Tenbury junction which would put more pressure on other side roads such as Livingstone, Hazelhurst and All Saints unless they are closed as well which is not a practical solution. Featherstone needs consideration as well, perhaps right or left turn into Hazelhurst priority change would help. Not keen on road humps, bad for car suspension and slowing and accelerating uses more fuel which is environmentally unacceptable.Temporary closure:

133689Photo #133689The junction is too conjested, with too many surrounding issues. the too side road merge together and try to feed onto one of the busiest roads in the city, with a bus stop and post box opposite . The pedestrian crossing on the Alcester Road is very good and can help.
Tenbury Road, which is adjacent to Howard Road, is used by many as a rat run, sometimes the cars speed along the road far too quickly and it is very dangerous, especially as quite a lot of children live on the road and Colmore Infant and Junior Schools are near by.Tenbury Road and Featherstone Road need to be made much safer for pedestrians and cyclists. In fact the junction where they meet it the Alcester Road should be closed to cars.
